October 11th, Sunday Bulletin from Saints Peter and Paul.
October 11th, 2020 | Saints Peter and Paul
This week in the Bulletin:
Hello to everyone at the Parish community of Saints Peter and Paul.
Our Bulletin this week contains an important announcement from our Pastor, Father Crino.
it is good to be back in the parish. I arrived on October 1 after my summer vacation during September. This was not the year to travel, so I stayed with family in Tucson. It was a good rest. This is one of those times to truly be thankful that it was uneventful. I hope that you have been healthy during these pandemic days.
I want to thank everyone in the parish CCD, school, and church for working hard. You keep the parish mission moving ahead. You are a witness to the truth in St. Paul’s letter to the Romans (8:28), “We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.” Yes, even global pandemics.
We have been told that the conditions in Pima County allow us to start the “Phase 2” reopening of public worship on October 13. The full COVID protocols are on the parish website. I would like to highlight a few of them.
This phase continues to be restrictive in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19, but there are a few changes.
The suspension of the Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation continues. Everyone participating at church is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
I am happy that we can start celebrating daily Mass. Tuesday, October 13, we will return to the normal schedule of Masses Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., Saturday Mass at 8:30 a.m., and Sunday Masses celebrated with a Saturday vigil at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday Masses at 7:00, 9:00, & 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 & 6:00 p.m.
HOLY COMMUNION OUTSIDE OF MASS
We will continue to distribute Holy Communion to parishioners who have viewed Mass on TV or online. After the Sunday Masses, the priests will be at the Sanctity of Life Garden till the top of the hour. (After the Saturday vigil Mass, they will distribute Holy Communion till 6:30 p.m.) We pray for the time when conditions will allow everyone to attend Mass in church.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be at 3:30- 5:00 p.m. and 7:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
Contact Chet at 327-6015 to set up Baptisms of children. We are celebrating individual Baptisms. Up to 20 family and friends are allowed to participate.
EXPOSITIONS AND ADORATION
We can restart Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on the Thursdays before First Fridays. So, on Thursday, November 5, Exposition will be at 9:00 a.m. We are limited to two hours of Adoration, so Benediction will be at 11:00 a.m.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Father Patrick M. Crino Pastor

Know someone interested in joining our RCIA program?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or RCIA is the official program of the Catholic Church for preparing individuals who wish to become Catholic.
It is also open to those who are not sure they want to become Catholic but desire to learn more about the Catholic Faith.
Also, the RCIA program is for those Baptized Catholics needing Confirmation or First Communion.
Inactive Catholics who want to get back in touch with their Faith and the Church are most welcome to join, as is any Catholic who wants to update their Faith.
