VACCINATION DRIVE, A SUCCESS!
When I asked the Pima County Health to include us as a venue for the Corona Virus Vaccination, I was a bit skeptical as we were across from the U of A. However, in the end, I said, “Well, it’s worth a shot!”
Indeed it was, the FEMA team came early on Pentecost Sunday and set up.
Indeed, it was wonderful to see people from our parish and beyond coming in for their “jabs”. I was even pleasantly surprised that some people who had professed NOT to take it were there as they had changed their minds.
I was also very joyful to see those of other faiths lining up. There were lots of wide smiles when I greeted them in Arabic, “Assalam, Allaikum!” (Translated: May the Peace of Allah be with you).
Thank you, everyone!

CHALLENGING SCHOOL YEAR HAS ENDED!
We had the joy in celebrating the 8th-grade graduation last week and the kindergartners this last Wednesday. Looking back, I am so grateful to our principal, Mrs. Charlene Roll, our vice principal, Mrs. Marty Ratliff, and the dedicated Teachers and staff for their exemplary service in allowing the education of our children to continue despite all the challenges.
There was so much creativity (Read: “Thinking outside the box.”) in keeping a high level of interest in the previously uncharted modes of teaching. Congratulations and our sincere gratitude for all the effort that you put in.
